Portfolio sales

Turn loan portfolios into liquidity.

Sell directly to Tribute, or let us take your portfolio to market.

Anyone can put a price on a tape. We find the transaction that fits what you’re trying to accomplish.

Create liquidity from assets already on your balance sheet.

Loan sales serve different objectives, and not all of them are about distress. Tribute starts with the objective and structures the sale around it.

Free capital for new originations

Convert existing receivables into liquidity you can redeploy into new lending.

Reduce concentration or exposure

Move delinquent, charged-off, or over-concentrated positions off the balance sheet.

Exit an asset class

Sell a portfolio that no longer fits your lending strategy.

Monetize bankruptcy receivables

Turn long-duration Chapter 13 payment streams into immediate proceeds.

Clean up legacy accounts

Sell residual, deficiency, and charged-off accounts that consume operational attention.

Create recurring liquidity

Set up a forward-flow program instead of accumulating portfolios for periodic bulk sales.

What we buy and sell

Performing through charged-off.

Account status

  1. Performing
  2. Sub-performing
  3. Non-performing
  4. Charged-off

Charged-off in every form it takes — repossession deficiencies, skips, impounds, total-loss balances.

Including accounts in active bankruptcy.

Receivable type

  • Auto finance
  • Consumer installment
  • Other consumer receivables

Sell it to us, or sell it through us.

Not every account belongs in the same sale.

Direct acquisition

Tribute buys the portfolio directly. Best when speed and certainty matter most.

Competitive sale

We position the portfolio, identify the right buyers, and run a competitive process designed to improve price and terms.

Forward flow

Recurring purchases under set eligibility and pricing. A standing outlet for future receivables.

Notes
  1. Eight rows selected from an illustrative 1,180-account portfolio. Account numbers are masked; there are no borrower fields.
  2. Statute applies to charged-off accounts. Limitation periods vary by state and by account type, and run from the date state law sets, such as default or last payment. The statute status shown is illustrative.
  3. Route follows the pool, not the account: seasoned performing and Chapter 13 accounts to direct acquisition, charged-off and sub-performing pools to a competitive sale, new originations to forward flow. The objective can change any of these.

Prepare your portfolio for sale

Valuation, buyers, and closing in one place.

Priced against current demand

We price against what buyers are paying now, not a rule of thumb.

The right buyers

We match each pool to buyers whose strategy and underwriting fit those accounts. That is the difference between a sale and the right sale.

Bankruptcy knowledge

We price bankruptcy receivables as assets, because we service them. Most portfolio buyers price them as line items.

Execution

Valuation, diligence, documentation, and closing, coordinated through settlement.

A disciplined process from data tape to settlement.

  1. 1

    Portfolio review & segmentation

We analyze performance, account characteristics, collateral, legal status, and geography, the factors that drive value.

  2. 2

    Valuation & transaction strategy

We value the portfolio against current market demand and choose the best way to sell it: direct acquisition, competitive sale, or forward flow.

  3. 3

    Buyer matching & pricing

When taking a portfolio to market, we match each pool to buyers whose strategies and underwriting criteria fit the collateral.

  4. 4

    Diligence & documentation

We coordinate data requests, account documentation, chain of title, and purchase agreements.

  5. 5

    Closing & transition

Final files, funds, ownership transfer, and post-sale obligations, coordinated through settlement.

Do you buy my portfolio, or broker it?

Both. We buy directly when a portfolio fits, and we run competitive sales to our institutional buyer network. You are never obligated to sell to Tribute. If the market beats our offer, you take the market.

What kinds of portfolios do you buy or sell?

Performing through charged-off, bankruptcy receivables included, across auto, consumer installment, and other consumer asset classes. We start with your objective and match it to the right structure.

What is the difference between a one-time sale and forward flow?

A one-time sale, a direct acquisition or a competitive sale, moves an existing portfolio now. Forward flow is a recurring purchase under set eligibility and pricing, an outlet you do not rebuild each time.

Will the sale stay confidential?

Yes. Every transaction runs with discretion, from valuation through settlement.
